Text Box: Host : Geological Society of Malaysia Abstracts Deadline : 24th February 2006 The Geological Society of Malaysia (GSM) invited you to participate in the GEO Asia 2006 Conference to be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. This exploration event will attract geosciences and other professionals from throughout the region and beyond. Download GEO 06 Programme Conference Theme The theme of the conference, “Asia’s New E&P Horizon” can be applied to a wide range of topics that are relevant to the region’s future, including: Marginal field assessment Complex structure reservoirs Geosciences of Clastic and Carbonate Reservoirs Stratigraphy and Reservoirs Optimising Production by improving Reservoir Management Advances in Geophysical Technology Submitting an Abstract If you wish to submit an abstract, it should be sent to geologi@po.jaring.my. Abstracts should be 250 – 300 words long, including objectives, procedures, results and relevant conclusions. Abstract titles should not include company names. Programme Information Oral Presentation Information: Electronic projection will be the only format available for oral presentations. Speakers will be connected to one electronic data projector and have access to one screen and a pointer. At least one author from each submission accepted for the technical programme will be expected to register for and attend the conference at their own expense. Poster Presentation Information Presenters will be provided with three 1m x 2.5m surfaces (long dimension vertical). At least one author will be required to be with their presentation a minimum of two hours while on display. The posters selected will be on display for the duration of one day only. The authors will be solely responsible for the availability and security of any special equipment such as projectors, computers or microscopes. Geological Society of Malaysia GEO Asia 2006 Conference – 14 June 2006

The Geological Society of Malaysia (GSM) are a leading geosciences association in the region, with close affiliations to PETRONAS. Formed in 1967 they have a long history of hosting international standard conferences and seminars focusing on Malaysia and South East Asia. The GEO Asia conference will draw together leading geoscientists from around the world. Its aim is to educate and inform all those present, encouraging them to work together and learn from each other. The conference theme is: Asia’s New E&P Horizon and will focus on Asia with particular emphasis on South East Asia. The conference secretariat will be looking for both oral and poster presentations. If you are interested in submitting an abstract to the GSM the deadline is Friday 24^th February.
